The Wraith's plans were foiled again, but at a cost. The residents of Atlantis are suffering from mistrust and paranoia, Cooper more than most. An accident on a simple mission forces her worries elsewhere, however, and Sheppard tries desperately to maintain that all is as it should be.
Two years after the war, and George still feels the pain like the Battle was yesterday. He doesn't even have the heart to leave his house anymore. But an old friend returns to the Burrow one evening and, for better or for worse, changes him once again.
Everyone seems to have put their differences behind them, but Cooper still can't catch a break. Sheppard uses an offworld mission to prove his lieutenant is still the same person, but all the while she fights a battle with herself. The team being separated in the midst of a revolution doesn't help matters.
The four kings and queens face a new war, and once more the horizons of their imaginations must be broadened. An evil king and a surprise army prove to be quite the match for them, which leaves the captain of the guard to make sure the kings don't push themselves too far.
The Wraith modify their stun-guns to give the victim overly aggressive personalities. No one notices the effects until too late, and then Atlantis is taken over. Lieutenant Cooper is the only one left, and without any visible help, she turns to Atlantis as a sentient being.
