As a result of a very dangerous mistake in Potions, Harry is left reeling and lost, and the only person who can help him is Draco Malfoy. Draco accepts this responsibility, for his own slew of personal reasons. He thinks it will be simple enough. The Ministry bullies Harry into chaperoning Draco through their last Hogwarts year, because after going through trials and Azkaban, Draco's magic has become unstable and dangerous. To make sure Harry can monitor Draco successfully, they give him a magical device to help him, as well as strict orders for them to always stay close together. He gets more than he bargained for, though.
