After Kagome is brutally attacked, she struggles to return to normal, especially when she keeps seeing her attacker everywhere, even in her dreams. Her shattered spirit leaves her weakened, but with her friends help, she keeps moving forward. When things finally seem to settle, dangerous facts are revealed and a broken Kagome is forced into a new life that she never wanted.
