Dealing with other losses, he becomes unraveled. What will bring them back together? Rated M. THIS IS THE RE-PUBLISHED VERSION OF THE STORY.
The Fire Nation had won the war. They were unstoppable until a portal to another world was discovered. To a divided world about to be embroiled in war. What happens when the Fire Nation invades our world in 1939? How will the nations of our world react? How will the technologies combat each other? And where is the Gaang? I don't own the Avatar Universe or anything in it.
Alternate ending to the season 2 finale where Katara is unable to save Aang. Just a little sad Kataang thingy I made out of boredom.

It is only after the war that Iroh sees Lu Ten one last time. And from him, he learns to let go. Oneshot. Iroh-centric. Tumblr prompt fic.
Something tragic happens unexpectedly. And she’s just minutes too late to help.
Iroh is ill, but Zuko doesn't know it…will he find out too late? AU where Iroh died of natural causes instead of transcending to the Spirit World like we see in TLOK. A little tribute to the incredible man that is Iroh and his beloved nephew! Cover picture credit goes to artist.
Following the Horyus battles against the Kage, the Elemental Darts, and the White Lotus, Katara decides to go to the North Pole to continue her waterbending training. But first, she finds that she must overcome a past trama. Takes place right after chapter 9 of Horyus: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
She had left him, alone to deal with his sadistic sister and ruthless father. Zuko comes to terms with his mother leaving him, his father crowned as the Fire Lord, and his uncle heartbroken from his cousin's death.
Katara and Aang spend their last year together. Major character death.

Once reunited, they decide that they will never again be apart. They are better together, stronger together. The world will bow to them. (Co-written with Princess Claire Fey) TW: incest, rape, abuse
Modern AU. Zuko visits his cousin's grave six years after he passed away. Trigger warnings: mentions of child neglect/abuse, death, implications of suicidal thoughts.
Azula is still in the mental facility, but totally recuperated. Zuko is furious
"To speak the language of the waters…" Kanna's mother winked at her. "The first thing you must do is listen." ("Ultimately, there can be no complete healing until we have restored our primal trust in life." – Georg Feuerstein. A Kanna-centric fic.)
When Aang was young, his smiles came easily. His laughs were as careless and free as his element. His dance was as light as the breeze that twirled the leaves around him. His tears fell like the rain when nature mourned. He wonders when it became harder and harder for him to smile. He wonders when his tears stopped coming. Or: the war breaks Aang. TW: depression, suicidal thoughts
I'm a frequent victim of being trolled and bullied. Maybe you should pay attention to this story. Plus the cold hard facts found within it. You might stop to think about how you're not so nameless and how much you add to the death toll in this world—some food for thought. THINK CAREFULLY!
Hers was a culture of storytelling and oral tradition. Many nights, when the dark indigo sky glittered with a thousand stars, her mom would sit her and her brother down around the hearth and recount legends and myths. But that all changed the day her world shattered. Or: Katara's culture is lost during the war, over and over again. Katara-centric. Oneshot
I see them in everything. I see them in nothing. I see them in myself and everyone around me. I see them in the air I breathe, the water around me, the earth beneath me, the fire within me. And I won't let them go. Or: Aang's grief for the Air Nomads. Oneshot.
Sequel to Where We ..revised summary...Katara is on the road to redemption but due to the ridicule she has face several years after Ozai's defeat, Katara spirals on a downward path into oblivion while the ever changing world produces a new villian.
One Shot• Jet's death affected everyone a bit differently. But the one putting on the bravest face is the one hurting the most.
"She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette. She broke his heart he spent his whole life tryin' to forget." Azula does find peace after finding their mother, though it is far from the sort of peace the gaang had hoped for.
Azula is taken to a "festival," but is not given any dumplings as she expects. She is not amused. Also, a man gets executed. I don't know if this is funny or tragic, but I couldn't come up with the right genres, so that's what I called it.
There's darkness locked in every bud, and shadows bloom freely amidst despair. But sometimes, even creatures born in blackness learn to reach for the light of the sun; just as those conceived in brightness may cocoon themselves in ashes. Souls tangle like desperate weeds - they will grow into a garden or a stranglehold. M for abuse, rape, and dark/suicidal themes. [Eventual Zutara]
The first time Aang went into the Avatar state wasn't in the South Pole. Canon with LOK.
They burned the princess in her wedding dress, laid out on the pyre like a fallen star. It was not what she would have chosen to be burned in, but Mai found it fitting, as it was the symbol of what had killed her. Oneshot. AU. [Azula/Ty Lee]
As he lay dying he thought not of his wife but of the girl he had fallen in love with when he was eleven years old. Zuko/Mai.
