Geralt had spent the first three months of Jaskier's—company? Acquaintance? Persistence? Whatever it was called when one accidentally acquired a traveling bard that seemed determined not to leave—waiting for acrid fear to overtake Jaskier's scent. So it isn't a surprise when it finally does. The reason why, however, proves a bit harder for him to work out. Pre-slash/Gen
Triss does not have many ideas to help him recover his long term memories, so she starts with the memories she can easily return to him... The memories of love, because the most pleasurable memories are the easiest to recover, at least for a Sorceress and a Witcher. Triss does many questionable things in Witcher 1... Here is one of the many good things.
A near fatal attack on the road to Kaer Morhen reveals some truths that have lain hidden for over Forty years, truths that will change the life of Jaskier, and all those he cares about too.
Geralt was always stronger than he had realised and Jaskier was weaker than he let on. Jaskier was always quick to say something whether it was a comment here or there but what did it mean for their relationship when Jaskier would never actually say how he felt? Sometimes he wished he could tell Geralt that he was weak and that it actually hurts.
The fleeing Viper comes across a hissing Kitten in unwanted situation. Despite of everything, Letho feels the responsibility helping another witcher in need and so he snags the child with him. After everything he had done so far, trying to look after a kid couldn't be the worst.
On his way to the Temple of Melitele, Geralt takes on a simple quest that later turns out to be a little more complicated than he had anticipated. His pride and desire to resemble a heroic figure are going to get him into trouble and even with the help of his favorite healer, his physical limits will be tested. Simple story with accent to Geralt whump. Introducing Nenneke and OCs
Geralt and Jaskier have a falling-out. This leads to Geralt returning to Kaer Morhen without Jaskier, done with the bard's reproaches and behaviour. In his attempt to get as far away from Geralt as possible Jaskier ends in a dank prison cell, exposed to torture, sentenced to death and awaiting his execution. Geralt only hears of it when it's already too late to save him. Or is it?
Everything was going on just fine. Geralt had finally taken his responsibilities concerning his Child Surprise. Yennefer was in Kaer Morhen to teach her how to control her chaos. The witchers were wary, not used to so many strangers in their keep, but none of them was outwardly aggressive. So, yeah, everything was just fine. At least as long as no one paid too much attention.
Geralt has been abducted on his mission, and Jaskier sets off to find him. Geraskier, established relationship, slash
After the book canon ending, Ciri takes Geralt and Yen to the island of Avalon, where they are both healed. This is the story of how that happened. Although this story can be a standalone piece that fills a gap in the canon story without messing things too much, it was written to be a prequel to my main story, "Shadow and Light", but it's much darker.
Time has passed since the battle in Kaer Morhen and a lot has changed. Returning home to recover the deep wounds that plague her family Ciri finds something that she wasn't expecting. This story follows the canon of the TV series after S2 and won't be connected in any way to the books and videogames (except couple of easter eggs) Rating M for eventual violence. ALSO IN AO3
She notices the darkness under his eyes. "Have you slept since you found her in Cintra?" He shrugs slightly. "Hour-long stretches, every few days." She remembers the time they had together before the dragon, when he curled into her blankets like he belonged there and nothing could pull him away. She pushes the images from her mind. That time is gone.
In which Geralt gets injured, has no choice but to put Ciri in danger, and they both come out stronger because of it. (Rated T for mild language and injury descriptions)
In the aftermath of the fight at Kaer Morhen, Jaskier is struggling to fit in. N.B. Spoilers for season 2 of Netflix's The Witcher. I tend to headcanon Jaskier as bi and in love with Geralt, but this story can be read either in that way or as them being just platonic. There's nothing sexual in this story, it's all emotion.
He would drown in a nightmare. Regis had told him of it before, hands shaking in Dettlaff's grasp. How blind he had been, how agonizingly slow the time had passed. How he would not wish it on his own worst enemy. "I am your enemy now, Regis. I forced you to choose. It is my fault." His half-rotted lips twitched in feeble effort. "I am sorry." Rated T for gory Vampire friendships.
