This is based on the Invasion Elder God CYOA. Z'oth wasn't always Z'oth, at first or maybe in a middle point, he was human. Then his human form died, awakening him to his true self. After untold eons wandering in the place Beyond The Stars hunting any Old Ones that showed themselves and reintegrating all his old memories and skills, he is ripped from The Beyond into a new universe.
